Cruz Azul started the fight and was pushing for an opener in an end-to-end game, before Uribe was sent off for a high tackle on Julio Dominguez.
Club America then had their best chances.
Pablo Aguilar went out to open the scoring in the 36th minute with an effort from close range.
Then second later Aguilar won a penalt when Dominguez was captured, but goalkeeper Corona saved Perata's spot-kick to stop America winning a vital away goal.
Cruz Azul dominated the second half and Felipe Mora forced a fine save from America's keeper Agustin Marchesin with 15 minutes to go, but Las Aguilas' defense remained resolute and held out for the goalless draw.
